Portable Studio3D i7, Core i7 and GTX 280

Mountain of the hands of the information we bring you one of the most powerful laptops on the market today, called Mountain Studio3D i7. Although fall within the definition of portable, transportable, more than anything else.

Hard starts Intel Core i7 processor and Nvidia graphics GTX 280m, two of the solutions with higher performance on the market today. As for the 280m GTX NVidia is a device aimed at laptops, but the i7 Core i7 used in this Studio3D are the same as those of desktops, as the disposal of laptop models and is expected in the face after the summer.

I7 bring to the course we also have the use of DDR3 memory with up to 3 windows for three modules that allow up to 6 GB in total, at a frequency of up to 1333 MHz The screen is, of course, of 17.1 inches with a resolution of 1920 × 1200 points, thanks to the dedicated graphics (with 1 GB of GDDR3 memory) offers DVI and HDMI outputs.

I leave you with a list of the main specifications:

* Intel Core i7, to choose between any of the three current models (920, 840 and 965 Extreme).
* GTX280M Nvidia graphics with 1GB GDDR3.
* 17.1-inch screen resolution of 1920 × 1200 points.
* Ability to install up to three internal hard drives of 2.5 inches each.
* Reader / DVD burner, with the option to install a Blu-Ray.
* 12-cell battery with an autonomy of up to 60 minutes.
* 56K Modem, Ethernet network of up to 1 Gbps. and WiFi 802.11a/g/n.
* Dimensions of 397 × 298 × 60 millimeters, 5.4 kilograms.

* Windows Vista 32 or 64 bits.

Of course I draw particular attention to the battery of 12 cells and only one hours of autonomy, and that it is enough if we consider that this team will be around 200 or 250 watts of power. I would say even with normal use of equipment to have just half an hour.

Is a device aimed at a very professional, or nearly exclusively to video games. It will be necessary to have it plugged in almost continuously, so that we will lose that independence can give a laptop, but gain the possibility of transporting a lot easier than a desktop.

About the chip, I have already commented that this is not the portable version of the Intel Core i7, but is the same processor but desktop installed on a laptop.

Mountain Studio3D i7 expected to launch this in early June, for a price starting at EUR 1995 EUR (VAT excluded) for the simplest configuration, but quite powerful and advanced i7 920 with a 2.66 GHz, 6 GB memory DDR3 RAM and 320 GB capacity.
