Mini-HDMI connector is already in development

It seems that, thanks in part to the TV, the HDMI connection starts to be a big gap between the public, to the detriment of other connections such as high definition DisplayPort. The next step is a miniature HD connections, something that has already DisplayPort to Mini-Displayport (available on the latest Apple computers) but who are not having much acceptance. In fact, most are opting for laptops HDMI connections, despite being larger.

Mini-HDMI connectors are on the way, but for now seems to continue to develop and we do not yet have the final version .. In the table you see above, the standard HDMI connector, the current is known as Type A, while the Mini-HDMI is the Type-D. As you can see the size difference is very significant in size and round to MicroUSB, widely used in mobile phones. Does this mean that we can have this mobile with Mini-HDMI?

As for comparisons with the Mini DisplayPort, Mini-HDMI is somewhat smaller (6.4 × 2.8 mini-HDMI compared to about 11 × 8 mm from the Mini DisplayPort). We will have to be attentive to the technical end in a few months and compare with the Mini DisplayPort, which for example offers resolutions up to 2560 × 1600 pixels.

In principle HDMI has a slight advantage over other standards, as is currently used mostly and that's always important, but do not forget that in the end will be the manufacturers to decide what connection implement in their devices .
