Windows 7 Release Candidate Available from May 5 and one year of life


Starting this May 5 Release Candidate version of the operating system Windows 7 may be downloaded for free via the Internet. But that happy news to many is that this version will have a year to live, ie may be used until June 2010.

The announcement came during a review of some very interesting figures as the number of downloads of the beta version that reached more than 3 million and 200 terabytes of information analyzed by the test developers, 90% of applications compatible with Windows Vista 7 and 2.8 million drivers compatible with this operating system. To see the final version will have to wait 2 to 5 months or so.

Among the features of the RC version will include a series of improvements aimed at the business area as Direct Access for certain functions which replaces the complex VPN and BranchCaché stored in a common server of the company files downloaded by users for not have to be downloaded again from the network.
