Kumo: Microsoft presented its new search engine next week

Kumo, this will be the name of the new Microsoft browser, the meaning of the name can mean different cloud or spider (this will depend on the Kanji characters used).

It is believed that during the Conference D7: All Things Digital, to be held next week, would be making the official announcement. According to statistical reports we know that Microsoft has dropped to 8.2% compared to 8.3% of the preference in the market for browsers that was in March.

Hopefully the official announcement to know the features that we offer this new search engine.

Windows 7 optimized for use Hyper-threading

It was learned that Windows 7 would be optimized for better use of the Hyper-threading and the system load is distributed more efficiently among virtual cores.

The main objective of this technology is to speed up applications that can exploit the use of multiple execution threads in parallel and thus achieve a better response to the user. We know that the Core i7 and Atom single-core Hyper-threading implemented this would be one of the reasons that Microsoft would be looking to improve the performance of its new operating system in at least two of the three major platforms from Intel.

Microsoft LifeCam VX-2000

In the hands of Microsoft comes a new webcam for video-oriented with an average quality and thanks to its VGA sensor or the ability to take pictures at a resolution of 1.3 megapixels. I speak specifically of the Microsoft LifeCam VX-2000, a webcam that will be available in stores on June 1 next to a price of 29.90 euros.

Perhaps price may seem a little excessive given their characteristics, but has something more, it incorporates LifeCam Dashboard, an application that will allow us to give our personal touch to the videos that she recorded with the three-dimensional images, apply color filters, facial expressions, etc.. To this we must add its integrated microphone so we can make video calls without even using a headset for this purpose.

It should be noted, also, which is lit with just one click in few seconds or so of self-adjustment system to ensure good lighting when we find ourselves in low light environments. All this has one of the best quality - price ... and if you simply want to use Windows Live Messenger, is optimized for use with Windows Live VideoMessages service that do not know if anyone out due to record and send video messages both family and friends so that they can see when they connect.

Microsoft xYz, is real or just speculation?

Having confirmed that the rumors about a Zune in June were not real, they play new round of leaks on a Microsoft product which, if real, is intended to make with your mouth open to users and move the hand to the face by his rivals .

Well, actually rivals is unlikely to have, because it is an innovative project. It would be a portable entertainment device, in which both concepts mixed Zune and Xbox, hence his code name, Microsoft xYz.

The sources that have filtered it out as a Sony Mylo together with a PSP and an iPod touch. Would not, therefore, functions of mobile phone, and it is something that Microsoft has denied many times by active and passive: they do not think make their own phone.

The Microsoft xYz have a touch screen with resolution of 800 × 480 pixels and features not found in any other device on the market. It is almost certain to come equipped with the Nvidia Tegra platform, but since TeamXbox speculate further with WiMax connectivity.

Bearing in mind that you are connected to the network is one of its core and does not have 3G connectivity, the WiMax would be one of the few options remaining, but the limited deployment of this technology makes it a little strange that Microsoft bet by it.

The connectivity of which we speak will integrate with many Microsoft services, such as the various products offered under Live. We may also acquire content with other devices and display it. Imagine buying a video or a song from the Xbox 360 and also in viewing Microsoft xYz.

The integration with Xbox 360 would be another of its strengths, as would use the NXE interface that makes it has not incorporated this console, as well as being compatible with Xbox Live Arcade, which would allow us to play the games on this platform.

Sounds strange? Certainly, but do not discard it, because Microsoft still does not offer its own portable console (although this device is not going to stay pure in this) and the platform would give Zune media player as many points. Look forward to more news.

Internet Explorer 8 is available for multiple sessions

We know that cookies do not may have more than one session at the same time and many of us have more than one account. When we need to have two accounts active at once even though it is open the second account on another page, sign in with the account and open.

Internet Explorer 8 offers a new option that will help us with this task. New Session will open another page without having cookies, which gives us the option to start another session on the same site and well more than two different user sessions open simultaneously.

A small tip for their proper functioning is not to make the option "remember" in Gmail because with this option are created persistent cookies. Can access this option from the File menu.

Microsoft Surface SP1, improving interactive table

Microsoft wants to demonstrate that the surface is an important project for them, so after the launch in Europe (but outside the reach of almost all of us, for its price), now updated with Service Pack 1 Surface.

This is not a new version, but a number of improvements on existing functionality, for ease of use and interactivity with the user. For example, now offers the user visual responses by clicking on the screen, so it is clear what action we are doing at every moment.

On the side of developers, this Surface Service Pack 1 offers new options, increasing the number of APIs available, such as integrating it with XNA, a programming interface for video games, or creating a series of gestures that are equivalent in multitáctiles Surface, in Windows 7 and Windows Mobile 7.

Another change for developers is the integration of controls WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation), so it is easier to adapt traditional applications interface tactile surface. Labels to recognize the various objects placed on the table are also now more accessible to developers.

And while most of us never have such a table at home, the future of touchscreen interfaces through such developments, then we arrive to the consumer versions, as do, for example, Windows 7.

Sony and Microsoft presented more news for fans at the E3 video games

Only a month to conduct the upcoming E3 trade show, we check if it is true that Sony and Microsoft will present more news as it is said that the two companies are working on a motion sensor for advanced consoles.

Apparently Microsoft's sensor would be responsible for collecting data about the body when in motion and then transfer them to the game, now we will focus on games of skill rather than games of action.

This accessory also include sensors, a webcam and a microphone that would be contained recordings of our movements, these recordings would be used in videos and in-game chats.

The model worked for Sony sensor is said to be a little more advanced than that currently exists but not in their controls that offer the most advanced Microsoft still relegated to leave Nintendo.
