Acer X960 shows the interface for Windows Mobile

Maintaining the specifications of the DX900 but losing their ability to use two SIM cards, it also Acer X960. In exchange for the loss of a SIM user interface offers a lot more work and well designed.

This interface allows you to use widgets to display information on screen, allowing us to customize the screen to our liking. The applications are weather forecasting and the time zone includes three-dimensional animations to make them more spectacular.

The shadow of the iPhone is still hovering in many interfaces, what we see here in the music player in the display of pictures, where we can move between the different elements by dragging your finger across the screen, the style Coverflow.
In the Acer X960 connectivity is ensured by the compatibility with HSDPA and HSUPA, enabling download speeds of up to 7.2 megabits per second and upload up to 2 megabits per second, also include Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.0. All other specifications remain as the other model.

We therefore have a 2.8 inch screen with 640 × 480 pixels, MicroSD slot and 3.2 megapixel camera, in this case with flash. With the same battery, in not incorporating two SIMs, autonomy rises to 6 hours talk and 275 hours in standby.

Acer DX900

Acer already has a number of ready models introduced during the Mobile World Congress, so we're going to review some of them, starting with the Acer DX900, which is remarkable for a terminal with two SIM card slots, and Windows Mobile.

This allows us to use two lines at the same time without having to carry two phones on it, so we can have our personal and online business in the same terminal, or, if you travel a lot overseas, and our usual SIM to make calls within the country where we are.

However, keep in mind that the two SIMs that are installed on the mobile, only one will have 3G connectivity, compatible with HSDPA, while the other stays alone with GSM. In most cases this will not be big problem, but better check.
Looking at the physical features of the Acer DX900 we have a mid-range phone, which is not notable in any of paragraphs, but comes fairly balanced. Thus, we find, for example, with a 2.8 inch screen with 640 × 480 pixels, just a little today.

And it is normal to see that the majority of terminals that come with Windows Mobile now do so with larger screens and with resolution of 800 × 480 pixels. In the remaining specifications also maintains that average, with a 533 MHz processor and 128 MB of RAM.

For storage, Acer DX900 depends on external memory cards, because in it there are only 256 MB capacity. The MicroSD slot will allow us to increase that amount. On the side of the camera have better news, with a 3 megapixel resolution and auto focus.
Finally, it also has accelerometer, light sensor and a GPS receiver that will allow us to use it as a browser. Obviously, you can use two SIM cards quite an impact on the autonomy of the phone, which comes with a battery of 1530 mAh.

This allows you to offer up to 5 hours talk and standby time of up to 150 hours.

Acer DX900 interface has been properly refined by the manufacturer to make it easier to use than that comes with Windows Mobile 6.1. Despite that, we would have liked to announce his support for future update of Windows Mobile 6.5, but this seems unlikely.

The phone is available in the America market and, as is usual in Acer, noted for having a fairly tight price for the offerings.
