While browsing in three dimensions is not a new idea, Mountain View and Google are working on what would be the three dimensional web, and was presented 03D. Draft 03D with Google gives the option of adding a plugin or extension to Internet browsers so that web pages are accepted in three dimensions.
03D uses open source, which gives us the opportunity not only use but also can understand how it works.
