Unigine: a cross-platform graphics engine that offers a high degree of realism

The Russian company Unigine Corp has created a commercial graphics engine provides a high degree of realism, its use is aimed at developing video games and visualization applications, but also have strategies for working with independent studies. A very interesting feature of this graphics engine is that it's multiplatform, ie can run on Windows, including Vista, and Linux.

Supports Intel 32 and 64-bit or 64-bit PowerPC, uses the capabilities of multicore processors and is compatible with at least 3 families of compilers: Microsoft Visual C + + 2005/2008, Intel Compiler 10.1 and GNU Comppiler Collection (GCC) versions 3.4 and 4.xx

To access the video hardware is supported by the OpenGL API on Linux systems and the API Direct3D 9 or 10 (depends on the case). Among the hardware requirements are: at least an nVidia 6xxx chip, ATi Radeon R5xx or higher. It also has support for NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFire.

Seeing the display of objects like the sun or the glare of an automobile is clear that the management is excellent lights that took into account the different times of day to create different atmospheres. The material handling is incredible as they handle both static and dynamic models, scenes are handled internally or in environments outside, depth of field, land, water, vegetation, etc.. It also includes support for sound libraries available with 3D sound, sounds from the environment, emulation doppler effects, etc.. If you have the hardware needed to download the demo and enjoy. When viewing an image is amazed by the quality and really are very real.
